The projects shown below are a sampling of ideas, both realized, and unrealized, for modest structures, ranging from the office shed - to the two bedroom small home - to the garden folly.
NO. 1
A backyard folly designed to look like a travel trailer.
NO. 2
A prototype for a two bedroom home in the Pleasure Point beach neighborhood of Santa Cruz where the lot sizes vary from 2500 SF to 5000 SF and there are strict zoning codes regarding building massing and setbacks.

After the CZU fire in 2020 I developed several simple designs for small two bedroom fire replacement homes.

This is a one bedroom ADU in Seacliff Beach on a sloping parcel.

A garden shed home office just under the 120 SF that is allowed for unregulated accessory structures, with an open wood ceiling and lots of light from two tall windows and an operable skylight.
